To think my hair isn’t normal? It separates and goes tacky/knotty

Just that really .. I can brush my hair and it’ll be smooth and silky. Less than an hour later it feels knotty and the bottom of my hair separates into clumps. As can be seen in the pictures.

I have to constantly brush it and it just makes me feel rubbish.

I don’t think this is split ends because even after a haircut this happens.

What can I do about this?

Experiment with different shampoo and conditioners. I like Herbal Essence Daily Detox. I find Head and shoulders and Tresemme and Pantenne makes my hair tacky and knotty.

Do you section and straighten your hair? Use a protection spray and that will help keep it know free

Following as my child’s hair is like this. It always looks like it needs brushing.

Mine is a bit like that, each hair is quite coarse and I'm guessing that's due to rougher scales and they tangle up with each other.

Even a proper salon blow dry with the full works doesn't stop it getting tatty.

Best thing I've found is using hair oil (OGX maybe) but that does cause my hair to need washing everyday and I can't be arsed unless it's a special occasion!
