Severe lower back pain

I have had aches and pains in my lower back for a while. Yesterday I was running up the stairs and I felt like a ping and had to drop to all fours. The pain since then has been horrific.

I have some 30/500 cocodamol and have been taking those with ibuprofen and while it slightly takes the edge of it is still very painful. I feel as though I’m not getting any sensation from my bladder when it is full. Now panicking about cauda equina. I did the 111 online assessment thing and that just mentioned not being able to urinate at all or being incontinent.

I work in a nursery and have done lots of picking up children this week after almost two weeks off for half term.

How are you doing @GrumpyWombat

I am still in pain. The suppository helped that night and the diazepam but I don’t want to take the 3 other diazepam tablets they prescribed as I have a 7 year old to take to school etc. I’ve got some naproxen from the GP prescribed today but didn’t actually see them. I haven’t got the altered sensation in bladder etc now, but the pain is pretty much the same.

Thanks for taking the time to update us when you're in pain. I hope that the naproxen is helping now 💐
