What time is lunchtime?

I have agreed to look after a friend's dog for a few days, he's being dropped off today and when I asked what time, my friend said "lunchtime".

This is way too general! This could be anywhere between 12-3pm, right?

Would I be rude if I asked BUT WHAT TIME?

I always need very specific information to feel comfortable. Otherwise I'll just do absolutely nothing except anticipate their arrival from 12 onwards.

I'm like you, I like a specific time but I would imagine 12-1ish?

Gosh, that would wind me up too. YANBU to ask for a specific time.

“could you be a bit more specific with timing just so i can plan day. Looking forward to spending the day with (insert dog name)!”

You are right lunch time is any time and lunch time to one person is another time to someone else, as you need an exact time, just ask her in a txt or call.

You're an adult. Text them to say my lunch is X please drop the pooch off then.

You're doing the favour, you set the terms.

I would ask for a specific time or tell them when you’re avaliable. For us lunch time is 12 but I have young children for PIL it’s around 4.
