....to send out for a pizza for dc tea, despite having shopped this morning?

Ds2 (4) was up all night vomitting and I just feel so knackered right now that I just can't be arsed to cook, despite being full of good intentions earlier on.

I had to shop as we had no food in the house and I had to take him with me. Thankfully he hasn't been sick since about 9am, but he's feeling hot and under the weather and probably won't eat tbh, but the other two will be starving. I have to collect ds1 shortly, so no real time to rustle up much even if I could be bothered!

Dh and I are definitely having a takeaway!!

if you can afford it, why not? Friday night always used to be takeaway/ready meal night for us but since dcs are a bit older/money a bit tighter, not any more...

2point4kids · 25/04/2008 16:31

You've got a good enough excuse...
Go for it!

Aero · 25/04/2008 16:44

We can afford it as dh has just been paid (hooray). I'm just feeling guilty as I have loads to eat in the house and I feel totally lazy even though I can justify it!

We almost never have takeaway though, although we do eat out from time to time so I shouldn't beat myself up about it I guess.

I've got Tesco's arriving with my order soon but having an awful cold that wont go away, i'm thinking of a takeaway too.

2point4kids · 25/04/2008 16:50

Make you sure dont feel too guilty to enjoy it!
Everyone should treat themselves to a take away once in a while!

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 25/04/2008 16:52

Ah I love payday.

Picking up the DC in an hour and having failed to treat myself as planned today I will be getting a fat thai takeaway and lots of magazines.

Your poor dh..........NO ONE should ever, ever, ever have to eat liver. A very unnecessary food item imo!!!!!!!!!!!

auntyspan · 25/04/2008 18:06

Corr no we do it all the time!!!!

Shopping kills my will to cook.....

lazy mare

ComeOVeneer · 25/04/2008 18:10

I love liver, had it last night because dh is away for the weekend (a weekend that started yesterday and finishes Tuesday) playing golf withhis father and he hates liver.

YANBU to get pizza at all! As long as the food you have bought gets used and doesn't go to waste why not treat yourself?

2Eliza2 · 25/04/2008 18:13

RIng that number RIGHT NOW or we'll ring it for you.

bonkerz · 25/04/2008 18:14

nightmare!

scottishmummy · 25/04/2008 18:22

try yell.com

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 25/04/2008 18:24

Yeh just ring them. I always know where is good and what I want so menus are pointless, lol

shouldbeworking · 25/04/2008 18:29

Waste of good wine imo

Aero · 25/04/2008 18:40

OMG - I caved to the guilt! I can't believe I let this annoy me! I found some energy, and some burgers in the freezer and bunged them in the oven. Kids love 'em and they had some salad on the side. Not quite on my menu plan, but good enough.

As suspected ds2 took one bite and could eat no more. He feels hungry, but obviously not for meals as such. He did manage some raspberries and ice-cream though.

I will not cave again this evening though. I will make dh pick up the phone as soon as he gets in and order us something yummy. Question is..........Thai, or Indian? Tough choice!

Am thinking of returning to WW next week (rather, have been talked into it by a good friend who wants to go too), so last opportunity for calorie splurge!

so did you an dh get take away aero? I didnt get my indian BUT i have just eaten KFC courtesy of Dh and have necked a bottle of wine! Feeling very drunk and full!

Remotew · 25/04/2008 21:57

No, I've been known to pop into the chinese on my way home from food shopping. Never have to get a takeaway pizza as I buy those pizza express ones from the supermarket.

Have only read OP.

Yes.

Aero · 27/04/2008 17:09

Lol - Yes, dh and I had a lovely Thai takeaway and a bottle of wine to boot! Kids were happy enough with their tea, so everyone sorted and I only had to live with a little guilt!
