To ask you for 40th birthday party game ideas?

Throwing DH a 40th party in a couple of weeks time, about 70 people coming.

I think it'd be nice to have something fun to bring people together as it will all be made up of pockets of different groups that don't know one another.

Are there any games (can be drinking games or anything) that we could play that would get people laughing, mingling and kill an hour?

Short pub quiz including a round or two of questions about DH and his life including some things that some people might know about but others not, so that everyone stands a chance of being able to contribute? 70 is quite an unwieldy group for organised activities, I think.

Otherwise, just being an active host helps to get people mingling: “Sarah, this is Kate, have you met yet, she’s also into biathlon”, ensuring that anyone who’s standing about looking a bit awkward is brought into the group you’re currently chatting with etc.

Put quiz or bingo are the only two indoor activities I can think of for 70 people.
