...to be pissed off that someone has contaminated my water?

OK. We have a water butt. I use it for my plants and also to give water to my chickens. Today I went to get waterfor them and it was all foamy. Eventually (long story) I figured the water was contaminated. Looking in my neighbour's wheelie bin, I found an empty bottle of toilet cleaner (but not before I'd given some to chickens and given LOs grief for putting disinfectnt in the watering can) Someone has deliberately poisoned my water.

I strongly suspect the people who have been recently evicted from a flat next door. They (well he) had been selling drugs, and landlord threw them out, after input from police. We have also found the butt drained. Or (worse) it could be ome of his customers who live across the road.

I'm worried about my chickens now!
Do you really think police would bother?

I'd definitely report it to the police just to be on the safe side.
Is there any way that you can put some cheap cameras up outside your property?
Before we moved up here we had a neighbour that used to throw stale bread (a whole loaf in the packet) and raw potatoes at our house and car..... Some people are weird!

Anyway, when we called the police (because a flying potato can be quite dangerous) they said that we should put a camera up......... so we did and it stopped.
Mind you it might have had something to do with me catching him at one in the morning and hammering on his door, screaming at him like a banshee that when I get hold of him I was gonna rip his bollocks off !

have to go and try to clean the butt out now. thanks for your comments. Still feeling paranoid. Wondering if I should talk to (sane)neighbours. Back later.
