That scene looks grim.

It will be interesting to hear what did happen before the incident - you can understand the MP easily feeling threatened given previous stalking incidents and assaults/murder of other MPs.

I did find the statement on BBC radio news reports throughout the day yesterday stating that he was going to continue to "be available" as a local MP or similar amusing though.

Well you'd have thought it went without saying not to get pissed with your colleagues in the middle of a pandemic after making it illegal for the rest of the country to visit their dying relatives. But, seems a very low bar has been set and it would take a lot more than this story to make me concerned about the behaviour of MPs, after what we've had to contend with.
