On holiday and have just opened the sofa bed and it is covered in mouse shit.
On closer inspection there is mouse shit in the kitchen cupboards as well.
Husband have just told reception and they have given us a caravan which is a down grade (we are a gold sea side apartment and they have given us a silver caravan).
Which im pissed of aabout but it is all the could give us (and my younger children are upset and tired ) having to pack up and move everything as well!
Also having to make up all the beds on top.
And then they said they will deep Clean the apartment and we can go back in after.
Are they taken the absolute piss? Just to clean it for the mice to shit all over the place as they haven't got rid of them.

I would be insisting on a refund and going home/finding a hotel.No way would I stay somewhere where mice have shat/will continue to sleep where the children will sleep.

Tbh I want to go home, but we have paid for an activity that is a few mins away that cost a lot of money.
We live 3 hours away so it's just not feasible to go home.

Nope, if anything it has to be upgrade for inconvenience, as you're gold that possibly not achievable so it'd be some form of compensation- not a round of drinks. I'd say 25- 50% or equivalent or id be asking full and id leave. But in all honesty, if there is mice shit in their caravans, then the cleanliness is in doubt and I'd want away from there anyhow.
