We have people who are homeless, we have people who cannot afford to feed themselves or their families, we have people who are not getting their health-care needs met and an educational system that is struggling, and we have a massive mental health crisis.

In a simple analogy: The bank of mam and dad has nothing left, it's empty - and people [the Commonwealth] now have to learn to stand on their own two feet instead of continuing to wail that life was not always fair to them and demanding that money will solve the unfairness.
