Having read this article (guardian) I am struggling to believe every single one of their excuses and mitigation. Just fucking own it you savages 😡

I hope every single one of them receives the maximum sentence possible.

PattiSmithsPattis · 23/10/2024 12:40

The crimes are sadly no longer shocking to me.
There is no humanity in this sub species at all.
I appreciate that the facts about these rapists are public knowledge.
I personally wouldn't piss on any one of them if they were on fire.
The ones who apologise are far too late imo.

OP posts:
jeaux90 · 23/10/2024 12:44

Yes a disgrace to the male species.

SquatBetty · 23/10/2024 12:51

They are pathetic filth, I couldn't give a shit about how tragic their childhoods were (or were not as I expect many are lying to try to get a lesser sentence).

Gisele Pelicot is an extraordinarily brave woman.

isthereaway · 23/10/2024 12:55

I agree, Gisele Pelicot is an extraordinarily brave woman. Her statement (re other women who have been raped): 'I wanted that all victims of rape could say, well if Gisele can do it, we can do it' shows her humanity.

ALL the men deserve 20 years. Her 'husband' deserves life without parole.

Naunet · 23/10/2024 13:16

Pathetic, repulsive creatures, ‘brave’ enough to rape a woman, not brave enough to own their actions. I wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire.

Lalgarh · 23/10/2024 15:56

She's taking the stand today I think? I suspect the defence lawyers will be awful.

Quite a lot of the scumbags here are claiming they were also abused in childhood. You'd think they would have empathy for things like consent...?

PattiSmithsPattis · 23/10/2024 16:03

Also disgusted to read one of them liked the idea so much he (with Giseles 'H' help) decided to put his own wife through the same.
I've run out of expletives that suitably fit these fuckers 😤

TemuSpecialBuy · 23/10/2024 16:04

I hope they get much harsher sentences for having the audacity and bare faced shamelessness to try and plead innocent

PonyPatter44 · 19/12/2024 09:47

That woman is so incredibly brave. I take my hat off to her. This whole trial has been astonishing.

ChristmasPudd1990 · 19/12/2024 09:57

Wow 😔So some of the subsequent partners of the rapists were drugged too ? 😔 Couldn't read anymore... 😡

Spondoolies · 19/12/2024 10:02

20 years is not enough for this crime. If he was 20, 30, 40 he would be out in time to rape again. He is a monster.

BringMeTea · 19/12/2024 10:09

Shockingly low sentences. Not surprised which is depressing in itself.

StrawberryDream24 · 19/12/2024 10:21

Spondoolies · 19/12/2024 10:02

20 years is not enough for this crime. If he was 20, 30, 40 he would be out in time to rape again. He is a monster.

I believe he has been implicated by DNA/finger prints in a rape & murder, and another attempted rape - which would likely also have resulted in murder.

The police helpfully destroyed physical evidence in the rape & murder so I don't know if he'll be tried for it; but I believe he matches evidence for the attempted rape.

StrawberryDream24 · 19/12/2024 10:26

"Since he has been in jail, his DNA was matched to a cold case of attempted rape in the Paris region in 1999. Mr. Pelicot admitted the attempted rape in a police interrogation, and that transcript was read aloud by the lead judge near the end of the trial.
According to those records, Mr. Pelicot lured a 19-year-old real estate agent into a building on the pretext that he was interested in buying it. He pinned her to the ground, bound her wrists with a rope, pressed a small bottle of ether to her nose and then pulled down her pants. But the effect of the drug soon dissipated, and she managed to escape."

"He is also the main suspect in a second cold case from 1991, regarding another young female real estate agent who was raped and killed. She was put to sleep with ether while visiting an apartment in Paris with an unknown client. In court this month, Mr. Pelicot denied any involvement in that case."

StrawberryDream24 · 19/12/2024 10:28

Those cases are in the pipeline.

The similarities between the two are so strong that it looks highly likely he had actually murdered a young woman he raped.

I don't know if he'll be successfully prosecuted for it.

StrawberryDream24 · 19/12/2024 10:31

When asked why he attempted to knock out the young woman he attempted to rape he answered disingenuously that he didn't know, he perhaps just wanted to.study her while she was still.

Bearing in mind the DNA for this was gained because someone reported him for the up skirting...it goes to show that sex offences - no matter how apparently "minor" should never ever ever be disregarded and not reported. These things (not humans) show their behaviour in all sorts of ways.

I know a woman whose first boyfriend tried to record the female visitors to her home in the bathroom via a hidden camera that was discovered by her Dad ...she was having uni mates to stay. Her parents confronted him and helped her end the relationship but nothing was ever reported to the police. His parents, when told, tried to pass it off as a prank ...and claimed the father had done something similar to the mother.

Can you imagine what he's done since ...but not one report of that incident reached the authorities.

And we all know similar incidents.

Resisterance · 19/12/2024 10:35

20 years for those crimes is nothing. I'm shocked that the sentences are so light. 😪

StrawberryDream24 · 19/12/2024 10:37

Mr. Pelicot admitted the attempted rape in a police interrogation

Hopefully he'll get a sentence for the attempted rape of the then 19 yr old.

They need to get him for the murder.....I hope they can.

Spondoolies · 19/12/2024 11:03

Yeah obviously it will be great if they can get him on other crimes but his age means he is not really going to endure a longer sentence, he will probably live the rest of his days in comfort with his meals and other needs catered for.

My point is if he were 20 and purely based on the crimes against his wife got 20 years, he would be released out into society, I think the sentence for this type of crime needs to be changed to life, you can’t be rehabilitated from this behaviour.

I think she needs a new award and foundation setting up in her name for male on female victims of sexual abuse and rape, what an inspirational woman!

SleepDeprivedElf · 19/12/2024 11:50

The guy Pelicot taught to rape his own wife only got 12 years. WTF that is nothing for this sort of heinous crime.

BobbyBiscuits · 19/12/2024 12:52

Utter scum. The pathetic excuses they gave. One claiming he was gay and desperate for sex with DP so raped his wife out of 'duty'?
Another saying 'I'm not a rapist, but if I was I'd rape someone young and pretty, not a 57 yo woman'.
Many claiming they had no idea about the concept of consent.
Absolutely mind blowing how low some people are.
