To think I’m a bit stuck in a job I don’t like?

For the foreseeable, certainly.

I don’t like my job at all. But

a) it is part time and they are flexible with the hours they give me. Part time positions tend to be very infrequently advertised: most people who work part time started on a full time contract and then requested a reduction. I can’t do this as pick ups and drop offs are reliant on me (no wraparound or childminders.)

b) it is a short commute, only fifteen minutes away.

c) better the devil you know - I really think my job is just like this now.

I think I am stuck with it until my children have left primary school and one won’t start for another three years!

I am not expecting any miracles here just a whinge as DH grunts when I try to talk to him about it.

Sorry you haven't had much attention on this thread, it's never too late to change and maybe when your kids get a bit older you could explore other options for your own sake :)
