To quit my job and move to childless island?

I look after children, they came out of school today and were being whiny from the off, attempting to cross roads without waiting and not watching where they go and bumping into elderly people so I had to correct behaviour a few times by the time we got close to home. Not how you want to start a Monday.

So I thought right let’s go the park by their house and diffuse tensions before home. Just general frolicking in the leaves etc, got some smiles and laughs - great. Right as we were about to go, child throws leaves at me instead of up and what was in the leaves you ask? Dog shit. All over me, on my FACE AND MOUTH.

just had to finish the remainder of my shift covered in shit and feeling sick at not being able to wash my face and mouth properly

AIBU to quit and move far far away from any child ?? 😭

Absolutely not being unreasonable 🤣 kids are unprecedented shits some of the time-and I applaud anyone who looks after other peoples children as a job.
Those of us with children have sometimes wished we lived in a childfree place 🤣

Only made worse by child just watching me spit and gag while shouting at them to pass me their water bottle. I wish I had wine, it’s only Monday but I already need wine!!

Oh good god! I don't think it's even the kids fault. It's the disgusting person who didn't pick up their dog shit. Those people should be sent to an island.

I agree but also child didn’t need to try one up it by launching a pile of leaves in the direction of my face instead of just playing nicely 😂 little shits 😂

I hope you told the parents that you are seriously displeased? Possibly the children need to be told the park is off-limits and why.

I imagine the parents would ask why the kids were being encouraged to throw leaves that could (and, as it turned out, did) contain a pile of dog shit. Dog shit all over the kid's hands isn't ideal either.

Is there a different job you could do? I wouldn't like this.
