My DS attended a football party today, invited by a school friend. In the party bag, was a sanity-bursting whistle.

AIBU to next day delivery said friend over a drumset?

Lighthearted, of course.

I can only assume the parents are hoping to save some money next year when everyone declines their invitation!

DS once went to a party where the parents explained that to avoid more “plastic tat” they had done craft kits for party bags. An admirable idea…until I discovered the full tube of glitter.

YANBU, but you should send her a kazoo because apart from sounding like demented bees it has the added bonus of dribble coming out the end.

It would be a shame if it was mislaid overnight

Maybe a recorder? Get ahead of KS2 sending it home...
