Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

Hey pot - you're black 😂😂😂

I see that you didn't answer the question.

Pot kettle black isn't relevant in the way that you used it, as I have not said that I'm a fan of anyone

Ohhhh well if Harry said it it MUST be true. We know what a paragon of the truth he is 😂😂😂

And you think camilla is.

Didn't she hire a PR guy to try to male her look good?

Calm down this is just a chat forum for opinions. Like everyone I'm entitled to my opinion though, right.

And my opinion is a common opinion. A lot of people have at some point questioned, why charles, who could have anyone in the world, got with Camilla.

She is commonly described as ugly, a chain smoker and not that nice.

But as people pointed out on here, what us commoners see as attractive, is not what the aristocrats see as attractive

You’ve gone from catty to nasty. Where next?

Oops, sorry. Didn’t realise you were twelve.

NoisyDenimShaker · 19/10/2024 03:48

I can see the resemblance to Camilla.

It's actually quite possible that Charles got her preggers, she was packed off to the country, had the baby and then gave him up for adoption, and never told Charles anything about it.

If you think about it, back then, she could never have predicted in her wildest dreams that she'd end up married to him in later life. Back then, she would have just had the baby in secret and done a closed adoption, like they all were back then, and got on with her life. She wouldn't have even needed to put a father on the birth certificate. He could indeed be their son and Charles hasn't a clue.

People used to have babies in secret all the time. My elderly MIL told me a secret about a friend of hers, and I wish she hadn't. She's friends with a married couple well into their eighties who had been together since university. When the woman was 18, she got pregnant, had the baby, and gave it up for adoption. The couple stayed together, got married, and had three more children. The woman died a few years ago. Whether they ever told their three adult children that they have a full sibling, I have no idea. I have that information and I wish I didn't.

Point is, back then, it really wouldn't have been unusual for a well-to-do young unmarried woman to get pregnant and then have the baby and give it up in secret. I can absolutely see Camilla doing that. But if she did, I bet she never told Charles.

But If she never told charles anything about it, how would the baby then be given to staff of the royal family.

In this mans version of what happened, The baby was adopted by a family that worked for the royal family.

So if it did Happen, charles had to have known

FWIW, I can see why Charles went for Camilla. She appears extremely down-to-earth, stable, and a right laugh, all of which are a great contrast to Diana, who was much more highly-strung and did seem to suffer with MH problems after her sudden global fame at such a young age. I can well imagine that Camilla is very earthy and sexy. There's this hilarious photo of her in the early Nineties sitting on her horse, tight jodhpurs, puffing on a fag and looking exactly like something out of Jilly Cooper's Riders. Camilla was a bad girl. I can see why Charles fell for her, coming from such a stuffy world.

What? It’s literally all I’ve read about for weeks. It’s been talked about on the news, on the radio etc for weeks too, such as how councils are cleaning up places and the itinerary. Been in the newspapers too. Where have you been hiding?! (Serious question, I want to be there too!!). You must have at least seen their faces on the opera house (pics of it anyway?).

Are you in Sydney? I'm in Melbourne and I really haven't heard it talked about. I don't watch the news but do scan the papers. Had to scroll a fair way down the Age before I saw it this morning. Past week all the headlines were about AFL trades!

I think one of the reasons he went for camilla is that she doesnt outshine him.

Diana outshone him and he was jealous of the attention she got. Diana said that herself. That he used to get extremely jealous of her on their walkabouts, when people always wanted to talk to her, not him

Thanks; I didn't know that detail.

Possibly more royal fans out there? Hard to top AFL trade week in Melbourne.

HollyKnight · 19/10/2024 04:13

If you are going to hide a royal baby, why would you tell the family you are giving the baby to that it is a royal baby? Surely you would just arrange a closed adoption through people who aren't directly connected to the source. Kind of a dumb thing to be like "Here. This is Charles and Camilla's baby. Don't tell no one."

Demonhunter · 18/10/2024 23:10

Maybe the grandmother just said it, maybe he was an annoying granchild. Must admit, if I had a particularly annoying relative, I might be tempted to tell them any old shit on my death bed then laugh at my stirring from the afterlife.

GrinGrinGrin that made me proper lol.

If it's true he should be grateful he wasn't locked in the tower!

But wasn't that how it was always done? Give it to a family that enthralled by royalty, take it to their grave kind of thing.

😳

My guess is that ex-royal employee granny was a bit of a royal fanatic and had fantasies about being closely connected to the royals, which she revealed on her deathbed, triggering her adopted grandson to cling to the dream that he is someone special. It's kind of sad. He's made this his whole identity.

Westfacing · 19/10/2024 04:55

Has he produced any evidence that his grandmother even worked for the royals?

That is unlikely. It’s just been in the mainstream media and spoken about on TV and radio frequently over the past few weeks (none of them local to outback qld, they’re national media). Like it was across the front pages of all major news outlets earlier this week when all state premiers allegedly snubbed meeting him, all claiming they have prior commitments. It’s been in your face for probably a month. I feel like I couldn’t have avoided knowing about it. It’s so strange you were unaware despite being in a metropolitan city. A good strange!

Herald Sun is Melbourne, right? And I swear, the very few times I’ve put on the news or listened to the radio, 8/10 times “the royal visit” has been mentioned at least 2442 times an hour.

Prince Charles's alleged lovechild
InWalksBarberalla · 19/10/2024 05:29

My inlaws get the herald sun and we had lunch out with them last weekend and it didn't come up. My husband spends half his life on twitter/x and he hadn't heard about the visit - at all. I checked with my son and his primary school hadn't mentioned it. Nobody in my office has mentioned it - not saying they didn't know - maybe just not a topic of interest. However my sister in Bendigo did know - she watches free-to-air tv so that is probably the difference.

I'm thinking though I must just scan over things - I see that headline and see right royal snub and don't read anymore. So possibly I did see things but just didn't put two and two together.

And yeah I pretty much only listen to spotify or podcasts, not the radio. Maybe aliens could land and I wouldn't notice.

He’s been making headlines for years. He’s taken the case to court many times as well. I don’t know why they don’t just do the DNA test to prove it one way or another.

You don't know ? Really can't think why not ?

pollyglot · 19/10/2024 05:48

At least that's one person not snubbing the K&Q in Aus.

MayaKovskaya · 19/10/2024 05:51

You do get these fantasists who imagine that they're related to royalty. There was one who used to claim that he was the child of Princess Margaret. It's the same sort of thing. Some sort of attention seeking personality disorder. They have to keep an eye in case they're dangerous, but they're usually harmless.
