Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

How is this lighthearted?

Because its just idle chit chat about something that is ridiculous isnt it.

What else can it be?

OptimisticMermaid · 19/10/2024 11:44

I think he looks very like Mark Philips. Maybe he was Charles love child as well 😊

MayaKovskaya · 19/10/2024 11:50

Perhaps he was created in a lab with the DNA from Mark Phillips, Nigel Farage and Vera Duckworth....

Why would a rich privileged girl like Camilla even go through with this pregnancy if it were true. If Charles was the father I have no doubt that the pregnancy would have been terminated not given up for adoption.

Abortion wasn't very advanced and was dangerous in the 1960s.

I remember Cynthia Lennon saying she considered getting an abortion for hmjohn lennons baby, but that abortion was too risky and she decided against it

Charles would have been 17

If born in early 1966, Charles would have been a 16 year old schoolboy taking his O levels at Gordonstone when this man was conceived!

He’s been making headlines for years. He’s taken the case to court many times as well. I don’t know why they don’t just do the DNA test to prove it one way or another.

He would say someone has swapped the samples, you can't reason with crazy

16 year olds have sex.

He wasn't in gordonstone in the summer. Presumably he was going to society events around London when he was 16.. camilla would have been there

Abortion wasn't very advanced and was dangerous in the 1960s.

Harley Street doctors were performing safe abortions before the 1967 Abortion Act came into law. It was quite possible to have a safe abortion if you had the money. There’s a scene in the film, Vera Drake that shows this pretty accurately.

It may have been possible, but Cynthia Lennon (pregnant in1963) said in her book hat she decided to not have an abortion, as it was so extremely dangerous at the time.

Procedures definitely weren't as advanced as they are now.

You're right.
He has hair.

I don't think he is Charles' son but I can see why an adopted child looking for his birth family could get caught up and obsessed with the idea of being a secret illegitimate royal child, history is littered with them after all.

I can definitely see a resemblance around the eyes, nose, and smile and can understand why this man is clinging to the idea.

I hope he finds peace.

Yes, me too. What a shame. I hope that he manages to trace his birth parents, or at least come to terms with his situation. Unfortunately, certain people will exploit this for their own gains.

Too true. Plus his supporters would claim conspiracy, no doubt!

CecilyP · 19/10/2024 12:49

Do you know Simon’s exact date of birth? Very likely conceived before school broke up for the summer. Not sure the 16 year old rather gauche schoolboy would have appealed to the sophisticated nearly 18 year old debutant that was Camilla.

Well he wasn't any 16 year old was he. He was the son of a Queen. I'm sure he had girls fawning over him at that age

I'm sure he did. It doesn't prove that this man is their child, though.

Cynthia Lennon would not have moved in those circles, though I suppose she could have used John’s money to pay.

Procedures were not the same as today but were the same in 1963 as they were in 1968 when safe abortion performed by medical professionals became much more widely available.

They would have had access to the best doctors it wouldn’t have been a back alley. Nevertheless, I don’t believe for a minute that the RF would have handed an heir’s baby over to a pair of commoners working at the palace.

Haha exactly like a Catherine Cookson. Honestly the idea that the RF would give this baby over to Mr & Mrs Bloggs with a, ‘I say now, remember don’t tell anyone yah, toodle pip’ is so beyond reality it’s laughable.

I feel sorry for him to an extent but the fact he wants to get his hands on the throne takes away a bit of the sympathy.

I did actually work with someone who knew Charles at that age because Gordonstone used to borrow girls from Elgin Academy to play the female roles in their plays. Journalists used to try to interview her from time to time but I don’t think she ever fawned.

Pretty sure Camilla would have thought Charles too young for her in those days.

You know in the Royal family in Belgium case.

How did she manage to get the king to to a dna sample
