To hope removing the implant is going to make a big difference to my life?

I'm getting my nexplanon implant removed from my arm after a year and a half.

I've had basically constant periods, with weeks at a time of really heavy bleeding and clotting and then light bleeding in between.

Since deciding to get it out I've been reading and wondering if it could be behind my mood swings (I'm so much angrier than I ever was), my completely vanished sex drive, my tiredness and my difficulty in losing weight.

I had the implant put in a few months after having DS and so I assumed all of these things were due to postnatal hormone changes.

I don't want to get my hopes up but I'm secretly hoping that something as simple as getting it out is going to really improve things.

Has anyone had big issues with the implant which resolved after getting it out? How long did it take to feel a difference?

I had mine taken out after a couple of months for the same reasons. It made me feel awful & constant periods. Honestly you will feel so much better for it x
