Which celebrities/public figures give you the creeps?

For me the biggest one is Jacob Rees Mogg. He puts the fear of God in me. He reminds me of some villain in a horror film. If I see him on TV or a picture of him I actually get the chills.

I also find a really unsettling energy about Louis Walsh and David Walliams.

Clive Myrie

Eamon Holmes and Richard osman are the first two that spring to mind

Sepoctnov · 13/10/2024 17:34

I also think Holly Willoughby. I can't watch her at all, I just have an awful cringe feeling when I see her. Her bug eyes and big teeth remind me of a creepy ventriloquist doll.

I'll probably get called out now for being unkind.

Clarabell77 · 13/10/2024 17:45

Eddie Izzard and Stephen Fry.

Me too I hated that song Jake the pake … creepy song

I think there's a thin line between pure dislike and actually finding someone creepy.
So I really dislike James Corden but can't actually say that he gives me the heebie jeebies.
Noel Fielding gives me the creeps a bit, in terms of his appearance, but I'm sure he's a perfectly nice guy!

Supersares · 13/10/2024 17:52

Frankie Boyle gives me the ick

I’ll second Louis Walsh too. Creepy and disingenuous.

Isn't there something a little...unhinged...about a whole thread accusing innocent people of being "creepy"? Particularly the "I seem to be the only one who thinks this" posts. Imagine the triumph if something did come out. "I knew it! I told you so! See? I was right!"

Deeply distasteful. Rumours spread very easily.

Yet here you still are.

Celebrity relies upon people liking or warming to people, be it tv presenters or whatever. Humans have evolved to use instinct and other information to decide if they like someone or not. It is interesting that there are very popular celebrities that some don’t like.

If you see any posts that are accusing people of something directly, report them. Most people are talking about their feelings or own reactions, without foundation, which you or anyone else cannot police talking about their own views. No one wants things to happen. There is a book called the Gift of Fear. Humans, especially women, need to heed their reactions. it keeps us safe. We may never know if we are right or not, but it is a legitimate human reaction to find some people creepy. If you don’t like the thread, move on.

7 pages and no mention for the most sinister man in showbiz (in my humble opinion of course!)

Michael Buble.

Came on this thread to say this too. Something a bit *registry " about him

cavalier · 13/10/2024 18:00

Kier Starmer
can’t warn to him at all

ChanelBoucle · 13/10/2024 18:03

Katie Price! Boris Johnson, Rees Mogg are the main ones. Worst being Johnson, everything about him makes me physically recoil.

Roseyposey1 · 13/10/2024 18:13

Joel dommett 🤢

DazedAndConfused321 · 13/10/2024 18:17

Ryan Reynolds and Gosling- They just look so creepy

I'd put money on a David Walliams scandal coming out. He's a creep!

Olivia Coleman seems dodgy too, she's probably just had the fame get to her but her personality is unlikeable

Nowandforeveridontcare · 13/10/2024 18:19

Yes, Joel Dommet, then I feel awful saying that as he likely so nice, but why do I find him creepy? Sort of fake and just feel uncomfortable watching him

Toddlerandthecat · 13/10/2024 18:19

Jimmyville · 12/10/2024 18:11

Noel Fielding - hideous.

Alexander Armstrong - how can everyone not see this?

Philip Schofield - just no.

Totally agree with Alexander Armstrong. This is the BBC presenter I was expecting when it came out about Huw Edwards.
