This wine, which I have bought for a long time under its original name is now being (admittedly partially) relabelled with a hideous name which I can only assume comes from an obvious, though irritating, nickname.

AIBU and snobbish to instantly think less of a wine I have bought (and enjoyed) often in the past?

Weird things impact our preferences
Food eaten with a posh heavy metal for,k thin metal, plastic and bamboo fork all make the meal / eating experience difference with blindfolded participants in the experiment favouring the food eaten with the heavy metal fork despite it being food from the same bowl.

Similarly our brains struggle to eat things that are the wrong colour as they can't work out the flavour IE green strawberry ice cream or pink lemon ice cream but blindfolded participants could tell immediately.

For you it's the name of the wine. A rosé by any other name may not taste as sweet 😉

I don't know why the picture won't attach! It's the rather delicious 'La Vielle Ferme Rosé' which is now being sold with labels calling it 'The Chicken Wine'. I was rather nonplussed when I saw it...

I don’t think they’ve actually renamed it have they? It’s just a marketing stunt because for some reason TikTok has renamed it “the chicken wine”.
