Someone mentioned on another thread that it would be good to start a ghost story thread. So I thought I'd give it a go!

Have you ever seen a ghost or a mysterious person.? Ive never seen one, but My mum says that she has seen an old woman in her room , dressed in old clothes. After a few minutes she just vanished

I lived in a haunted house a few years ago, I saw shadows all the time, and always felt scared when I was on my own. I have been tapped on the head and poked in the back, electric toys were always turning on by themselves and once it even threw a toy across the room. One night I had sleep paralysis and a demon climbed on top of me, it was horrific.
Im sure it wasn’t my imagination because we have moved a few times since then and nothing like that has ever happened anywhere else. I’m so grateful I will never have to go back there.

@coxesorangepippin It is too early to call 'last orders'. Wait for the sake it's nearly Halloween.

Then, I will bring some white magic stories to dilute or defeat the black things. The Shuck. The Goatman. The Gnarled Hag at an acute angle in the West Country guest house. The 'ring-a-ring of roses' children. The man half under surface level running as he tracks the cars in the Peak District. Those people we see or hear in our houses.

I know all of these dark things. I learned how to defeat them. Keep this thread. It may save your soul.

Oh my Goodness. What a lucky escape!. Did you Google to see if there were any attacks or women going missing in that area at that time?

I don't care what anyone says I am sure you can 'feel' ghosts / presence both good and bad. My family think it's nonsense though!

Very similar - how strange. I wouldn't be able to describe 'my' disappearing man, but he looked just like any other commuter.

I wonder if what we see in these situations are energy replays? Just thinking of the 'living ghost' upthread, where something traumatic has happened in a particular place and it has almost recorded itself into the setting.

Can I make a recommendation? Search YouTube for 'ghosts on the London underground' there are some great stories.

Sorry I keep mentioning audiobooks but obvs they're available as books. I just drove 8 hours last night and listened to the amityville horror most of the way (free from the local library app libby-amazing free resource! Join your library if you haven't!) It's great. I took a break to listen to something lighthearted and when I put it on again I realised how atmospheric it was. Felt all gloomy and worried heh.

so this was when I was hospitalized in a mental hospital and I had two roommates in my room and I was talking with them saying we should see what has been following one of my roommates since she was a little girl and the room we were in was one of the 5 portals in the hospital we started the seance on one girl Emily As soon as we started we heard a loud scratching on one of the beds im telling you I was crying because of how awkward it felt in that room and I turn to Emily she was looking directly at me , when I say that I knew that wasn’t her I knew it wasn’t and you might think that’s not real I’m telling you Emily had a very high pitch voice this voice was so deep it actually was sounding like a male and then I would say can I talk to Emily please her eye grew , I meant to say this earlier but her eyes dilated got really tiny when that male voice was talking . Then I asked if I can get Emily back and she came back then when I asked a question to the male voice another scratching noise and a breathe and something or somone screaming hello into my ear I look over to Emily again staring directly at the girl that that thing was atacted to her .
