I got in presale queue. Got to pick tickets and they were extortionate. I'd have paid as dh is a fan but he said no way. I'd already booked airbnb in Edinburgh. It was for his birthday. But with tickets airbnb and travel we could have a holiday.

I've cancelled airbnb and will get full refund. Someone will be happy a room has become available right next to Murrayfield.

Anyone here going? I know it'll be amazing.

I'm more excited to see the Pretenders later this month. Small venue. Apparently Chrissie prefers small. I saw her and her band ( not the pretenders) in a venue of 200. Amazing.

Was it Subterranea? If so, we went to that.

I saw The Pretenders last year in a small venue. They were great, and CH dealt with great aplomb with the drunk heckler who shouted 'Play "Back On the Chain Gang!" between every single song.

I've decided at an upper level of pricing for tickets, and even for Billy Joel (luckily have seen him before) will not break it.

I did just fork a few Euros over my limit for a gig, but it is for next summer in a place i have ALWAYS wanted to go to, for a band i love. So that is it. Otherwise I'm pretty good at sticking to that.

Agree that the recent TRIE about ticket pricing was good.

I also have a limit on how much I will spend.

As far as I'm concerned, the artists charging less need my money more and they're more likely to be playing in a small venue where I can actually see properly.

There were plenty of tickets on Twickets for Billy Joel at Cardiff last year. Keep your Airbnb booking and just pick up tickets on there the week before.

There are always tickets

I feel your pain, I got to the front of the queue for Paul Mccartney, but they had sold out....and now they are about £400. I cried.

Same - I would love to see Macca but can't justify spending that kind of money

Tiamaria86 · 04/10/2024 17:20

I got Anfield for £190 but I'm pretty local so don't need a hotel or anything. Can't wait but yes it is expensive.

I know, I'm sad about it. If i had the money I would definitely spend it on Macca.

@QuiteCloseBy she's epic. I love her. Been playing Relentless loads. And I sing so well 😉

I really want to go to McCartney. Ot could be the the last chance. Last time we saw him at the O2 he brought Ringo on for the encore to do Get Back. It was glorious.

Concert tickets are so expensive nowadays.
I saw Billy Joel back in the early 90s in London. I think I just went to the box office and got a ticket.

It was a great concert.
