AIBU to think that all of the politics threads should be in the politics topic.

Fed up of the anti government spin and lack of discussion. Fed up of the obvious media bots controlling the narrative.

There is a politics topic. This should be used rather than across chat and AIBU ( of course used for traffic).

Leave me alone, I want to come here to seek advice, have a laugh, to support others.
Politics in the politics topic means I can choose to look or not.

100% agree I just hide them.

But then all the DH issues should be in relationships. And all the children ones in parenting. Etc etc and all of a sudden AIBU would be empty. I specifically like that it’s not topic based and you get a bit of everything and can ignore things you’re not interested in

I think it is more the amount suddenly. If I want to read about politics, I will click, on the thread, just as I do with other topics.

AIBU is a pretty mixed bag of posts that could be categorised as other topics.

If that is the case maybe all the Christmas threads should be in AIBU/Chat too?

There is an uproar when they stray out of the Christmas topic.

It isn't a one off - it is a daily post accusing anyone that doesn't worship the current PM of being a bot.

Terrifying how quickly people want to silence difference of opinion, and how they see alternative viewpoints as fake posts as it suits there narrow world .

Yanbu. But ALL non-Aibu threads should be moved. They are equally as annoying/inappropriate.

I have never seen it that way. AIBU is for anything the OP feels strongly about or wants to let off steam over, or check whether she or her DH is the weird one.

It’s a catch-all. Anything goes.
