solo parenting yet again and I am ready to board a train to Scotland and hide, this poxy cold is the last thing I need
I have a lot going on in my life, I often get really anxious at night and whenever I have a cold and find it hard to breathe easily I end up having a panic attack as I lay in bed stressing. I really really want to avoid this happening again

Boots Dual Defence might help your nose.
Paracetamol.
Breathing in steamy water maybe with a drop of Vicks, tea tree oil, tiger balm, whatever you have.
Drink lots.
Don't forget to eat.

First Defence Spray and Lemsip. They work for me. Started them this morning.

Improve your gut health, have your windows open and get outside as much as possible. Drink grated root ginger in hot water. Steam your nasal passages

Sterimar nasal spray. Unblocks the nose and apparently reduces number of colds. Only saline and really helpful at night.

A mug of lemsip before going to bed. The phenylephrine hydrochloride will keep your nose unblocked so that you can fall asleep.

Always find Asda cold relief capsules work well, and tons cheaper than branded versions.
& Ginger with lemon and Manuka honey.

Good idea but not for me. I have anxiety and that gives me palpitations. Just a heads up for anyone who is prone to that.

Do not buy phenylephrine, if you want a good decongestant you want Pseudoephedrine. It’s pharmacy only so you have to ask for it, but it’s not POM so no prescription needed. Clinical data is miles better for it
