To ask how to get out of the National Lottery website debit card circle of frustration??

I have a Lotto account I use occasionally. I currently have £4 winnings on my account. The debit card linked to the account is broken so I have a new one. If I try to change the card details it says I need to claim the winnings. But I can't as the card on there is defunct. I need to add a new card to claim the winnings. But I can't add a new card because....!

What do I do? Winning the lottery is the only way I can give up my horrible job. I NEED TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT!!!

Would this work? Spend the £4 on tickets. Keep fingers crossed. Add new card as soon as your balance is £0, before the draw.

Can’t you just spend the £4 on tickets and then add your new card?

Have you tried just withdrawing it to the old card details? I'm sure we've managed to do refunds to replaced cards at work and the bank does its magic to get it to the right place, we just can't refund expired cards.

Even if the physical card is broken the numbers are still linked to your account, if you withdraw to the old card it'll still go into your account.

Haha oh dear, menopause has removed any ounce of sense I had!!!
I had £3.70. I've just spent £3 on tickets and asked to withdraw the 70p so I'm now on zero.
Keep your fingers crossed my two tickets come up trumps

Have you tried changing your card on the actual website not the app. I had a similar problem & was going round in circles and im sure that was the fix

So I’ve just won just over £100 on National Lottery app and because it’s linked to my old card it won’t let me withdraw and it won’t let me change my card details so I can withdraw. Do I contact my bank? I’m not spending £100+ on lottery tickets!
