To be annoyed i fell for viral marketing

I’m not usually influenced that easily: but last week I ordered cleaning stuff that would make my house smell like a spa.

if I’m honest with myself: I completely fell for the marketing “autumnal cottage core”
and the gorgeous decor in the adverts.

paid my money (it won’t leave me skint, but it’s a lot more than I’d normally spend in cleaning stuff)

it arrived in a nicely presented box: and I opened it and just realised that I’m an idiot.

to make it worse: it doesn’t clean better than my mums homemade cleaning spray AND the scent has given me a headache

My thought too.

I thought Purdy and Fig too, the smells are horrible! I always buy eco- friendly cleaning refills so am used to paying a bit more for it but I should have stuck with my old trustworthy one but I tried purdy and fig for some new scents. Awful stuff, very pungent!

I was also influenced to buy this last week after watching a YouTuber and was similarly annoyed with myself when it arrived. I do like the cloth it came with.

There are so many overly fancy cleaning brands that call themselves vegan and cruelty free, promising natural smelling stuff with no nasties etc etc

They are all bollocks.

I literally just nearly got sucked in and ordered Purdy & Fig, after resisting for months! I keep getting targeted ads for them... is it really not worth it?!

To an enemy

Sadly not. It's just essential oil and water. You could make it yourself for peanuts. And it doesn't clean very well. The smell is very overpowering for a short time and then can't smell it atall.

The cloth it comes with is fab though.

Purdy and Fig have taken over my Facebook feed. I really need to block them. I'm glad to hear that I'm missing nothing, though.

the bottles and cloth look pretty. I’m not sure there is anything wrong with the smell, it just seems to trigger a sore head for me.

Can you return it? Online orders have 14 days distance selling rules.

Put in on eBay. Someone will buy it. That’s how I tried it.

I love p & f too. It's the only thing that makes me want to clean the house. Each to their own!
