Hi,

I got out of hospital from a spinal condition in the early 2023 never hearing from the DWP to the point my family thought I was joking having completed forms for pip in March 2023. I heard nothing for months

until…

August 2024 I hear from the DWP they are very sorry they my claim has so badly fallen behind but so many weeks on from last bank holiday yet they have gone quiet again.
I just do not understand how any government can act like this.

You applied in March 2023 and finally had an acknowledgment in August 2024?

That’s not right at all. Did you chase at all?

PinkFrogss · 24/09/2024 02:02

What did they say when you presumably chased a few times and complained?

Ponoka7 · 24/09/2024 03:34

You need to phone tomorrow and start your complaint. I've heard of PIP taking nearly a year, but that included a face-to-face assessment. This is very unusual.

Theres a 53 week back log on reviews and claims at the moment. I rang them up because they had my paperwork back in April.
