Petty Acts of (Neighbour) Revenge

Please share some inspiration for petty acts of revenge - bonus points if they are neighbour themed

My NDN is (in his 40s and perfectly healthy in case I get flamed for my petty acts) a grade A asshole and an unapologetic racist - proudly tells me how he watches at the park so the 'brown kids' won't be there when he brings his white brood.

I time my sprinklers to whenever he's inconveniently (for him) carrying groceries as he walks by.

When we sold our house next to racist neighbours they, and the other racist neighbour got a letter " from Mohamed and co. We are buying properties in your neighbourhood for housing migrants, asylum seekers and newly arrived immigrants. Are you interested in selling for cash? Email us on Mohamed at yahoo com. ".
In the period between the "under offer" and us moving out, the wheels on the outrage bus went round and round.

When my DH and I were both posted away on tour (military), we came back to find the hedge that made up our boundry with our neighbours had been completely removed and a fence erected about 2 inches from our house wall. This in effect meant they had taken an extra 400 sq feet of (our) land. He had built a house and apparently needed the extra space to be compliant with access for emergency vehicles. He thought we were useless kids and denied everything, although did eventually offer us £500!! Unfortunately for him we had our wedding reception in our garden so had plenty of videos and photos of it. The hedge was huge, but impeccably maintained (we had a gardener just for the hedge) and didn't overhang his boundry at all. He absolutely refused to engage with us and became verbally threatening. We went and picked up copies of the boundry from land registry, got a solicitor involved and gave him the options; either tear down his illegally built house or buy our house for the asking price. Unbeknownst to him we had been planning to sell our property but due to the strange location of it and since issues with local kids that we kept reporting to police, it was going to be really hard to do so. He paid £110k over what the house had been valued at 6 months earlier as we told all the estate agents who valued it what he'd done, they knew he was over a barrel and it was loads of extra commission for them. So £110k 😊.

When my adult dd visits she uses my foot file in the garden and throws the results over the fence.

InMySpareTime · 24/09/2024 09:30

NDNs objected to the colour we painted our side of a boundary fence, because they could see it when they passed our house as they walked the dog. They took the fence panels out and jet washed/paint stripped the colour off our side.
In retaliation I painted the fences on the other side of the (small triangular) back garden in very bright colours, so their view out of their back windows over our garden was all colour.
They moved soon afterwards and now both side neighbours really like my bright fences, and I have lovely bright colours in my garden all year round.

That is the most evil thing I have ever read.

Top marks!! 😂

Probably helps fertilise the soil on their side.

Young couple moved into mid terrace next door to me. I welcomed them as did others . First weekend the partying started screaming shouting thumping banging would start at 6pm right through till 6am . Some parties started at 5am when falling in through the door from the clubs. Vomiting under my bedroom window peeing against my fence . Unbelievable noise . Two or three weekends each month . Elderly neighbours too scared to complain so it continued for 2yrs . When it started I had to go to a friend's to sleep on her sofa.

So, after each party a Saturday or Sunday morning I would get out my really old loud lawn mower at 9am and I would mow and mow going over stones to make it as loud as I could . Then I would put an old disc player pushed against the attached bedroom wall and play opera at full volume . I never knew if it bothered them but my revenge was sweet . Just to say environmental health and police informed but it made no difference. They moved on and bought somewhere else and I felt so sorry for their new neighbours.

my druggie next door neighbours were the 'middle' town house and had no real access to their rear garden.. so they used to hop over their fence into our garden and out through out side gate..

we got so fed up of it, we set up a booby trap/obstacle course across the route they would take.. was great fun watching them fall over clothes horses and kids bikes when off their heads!

Twofurrycats · 24/09/2024 21:25

One of my neighbours is a top class odd ball. I don't take it too personally because he's like that with most people.
He has caused a lot of bother for me in the past though. But he doesn't speak to me and actively avoids me.
So whenever I hear his strimmer, mower, leaf blower, hedge trimmer I go out in the garden with the dog. And back in he goes. Makes it even better that he's always kitted out with gloves, ear defenders, visor and his special gardening coat.

harrumphh · 24/09/2024 21:38

This is one my neighbour did to me.

My cat that I loved more than anything died of aggressive terminal cancer, she knew this and immediately started having large boxes of cat food delivered to my house in her name (no house number and had put in the special instructions to deliver to our house number). She would watch them deliver them to our house and then come and collect them.

Amazon said they couldn't do anything about it as it was in her name.

She hasn't ever owned a cat.

Keep it! Don't answer the door or deny all knowledge of the delivery and donate the cat food. What a bitch.

There's a backstory here, so bear with me. I had a horrible neighbour who claimed to be ultra noise sensitive. For example, she demanded we put felt on the legs of all our chairs because the sound of them being moved across the floor bothered her, among other ridiculous demands, which she also made to the neighbour on the other side of her. I actually accommodated her with the chairs and a few other things, hoping she would then fuck off. No such luck. She only escalated.
One time I couldn't sleep and was doing a weight training workout around 11 at night. It was actually quiet enough that it didn't disturb my kids or husband sleeping mere feet away.
The next thing I knew the police were at my door. This lunantic neighbour had claimed she heard somebody being raped in my house in order to justify the harassing nuisance call and waste of police resources.
My whole family was questioned and the next day they sent a social worker out to make sure there was nothing to it.
After speaking to us, the social worker offered the opinion that my neighbour was "unwell."
So I marched right out the next day and bought a kazoo, which I proceeded to play for long stretches of time right next to the connecting wall to my neighbour. I would also go away for the weekend and leave a radio up against that wall, tuned to a hard rock station. It wasn't loud enough to bother the other neighbours, but I knew it would drive her nuts. This went on for months until we moved away. She never called the police again, presumably since it hadn't worked before and they had warned her to stop harassing us.
Believe you me I chose some very loooooong songs to play on that kazoo. ;-)
