To think my eyes look too harsh?

I’m trying to do more self care, I had ny brows done a couple of days ago. I think they look awful. I have naturally big brows but this is stupid looking.

I just want to look more polished and 🥺 yeah ..

What are you talking about? I don’t colour my brows in, I don’t need too.

Post your brows. Bet you wouldn’t dare.

Op have you had botox for forehead lines? Or 11s or similar? That can cause brow to drop and sometimes if the muscles in the centre are effected more than the outer edges it can give an angry look or a Spock look. It can usually be corrected by relaxing other muscles.

They do look dark but if it's all the natural shade there's not much you can do about it! They aren't bad by any stretch but would need to see the rest of your face to see how they balance with your other features to offer constructive suggestions.

They look a teeny bit severe on the interior (there is a distinct vertical line at the start of each brow if that makes sense). Other than that they look nice and not overly done. Good shape. I wouldn’t worry about the crisp lines as they will soften with regrowth. I also don’t think it can be avoided when waxing.

Reminds me of a time I was grocery shopping and a woman grabbed my arm out the blue and asked “please tell me the truth, do my eyebrows look bad!” Poor thing had just had them done and was not loving the results. I told her in all honesty just about the same thing I told you here. Good overall shape but needs a bit of softening. God bless her she walked away muttering something to the effect of “I told her they were too stern”.

Also clear mascara (or tinted if you’re like me and need a little color) does a great job getting the shape without the full laminated look. Hair gel with a brow brush does the same but I like a cheap clear mascara with a rounded brush.

There’s some horrid people on here.

It’s tricky seeing them in isolation. If that’s the natural colour, and I can see from your hair and skin tone that you probably have strong features, I suspect they look fine.

I’m not sure you need the lamination though tbh.

Excuse me? The OP said she finds them "stupid looking". I agree with her. She didn't do this to herself.

She has good thick dark natural brows, and some idiot has done this to them. The good news is the process is not permanent.

She did say she finds them stupid looking but your comment was a bit harsher. Yeh they’re not permanent but she has to walk round with them like this until it wears off so I don’t see how telling someone they have eyebrows like a cartoon villain is helpful

turquoiseaquaeaudenil · 24/09/2024 09:20

Well, I don't see how countless posters telling her they look "lovely," "fine" and "great" is helpful either.

I thought she was definitely NBU, and said so. But thanks for policing my use of language and imagery.

I agree that I find them too harsh.
