Was I in the wrong here

So we moved into this house about 11 weeks ago and I’m starting to see why the last person moved out. You can hear everything as the walls are so thin. This afternoon I’m trying to put together a presentation for work and next doors music is so loud it’s like being in a nightclub . I did pop round and ask him to turn it down a bit and he went off on one . He said I’ve pinched his bin 3 times and he wants it back .He then started ranting about how my kitchen cupboard doors are really loud when we shut them . He then said I’m the sort of neighbour who complains about everything. I’m never here as I work long hours and I hate falling out with neighbours. His music was loud and normally I don’t care but even with headphones on I could hear it . He went into a full on rant for about 5minutes

Have you pinched his bin 3 times? Can you do something about the kitchen cupboards?

I think it’s because the walls are really but yes I said I will go and get some stuff you sort the doors . Why would I pinch his bin as I have my own ?

It’s a rental property and I’m now starting to think it’s part of the reason the previous tenant moved . I think they were here 3years and I did wonder why they have up living in such a lovely area .

I was in my last house for 12years and only left due to the ongoing situation next door . Maybe I’m just a bit to considerate of neighbours and I’d make that level of noise

So think screaming and shouting at all hours and it sounded like the house next door was being smashed to bits every night

The previous tenant in this house said she wanted to move to be nearer work but I’m starting to see other reasons
