I suppose it varies with the brand, but I’ve been using Clarins since I was 18 and I just love the smell. It’s kind of spicy, yet also biscuity and warming. I may be morphing into Claudia Winkelman, here. No bad thing as I love her.
Currently got some on the back of my hands and they smell lovely. Maybe because I’ve been using it for years that’s where the comfort comes from.
Having said that, in recent years I have had a great sunbathing spot and in the summer have baked myself (yes, it’s bad, I know) but this year for whatever reason I didn’t get to sunbathe, so I’ve been back on the fake tan.
