Andrew Wilson: Should women be forced to have kids [content warning for SA]

I came upon this video yesterday, and my blood has been boiling viciously ever since. He seems to think raping women to keep the population going, is acceptable.

Link to Instagram reel

Men with views like this need to be taken out of circulation. I don't think I'm being unreasonable to want this.

Any population that believes women should be treated like this to keep it alive, doesn't deserve to exist.

Keep any not all men commentary to yourselves. Too many men are like this.

I don't want to click on the video and increase his view count. Any chance you could summarise his "argument"? Also, is this the brother of Luke and Own Wilson?? Or some other Andrew Wilson.

And yes, anyone advocating for violent criminal acts towards women needs to be removed from any platform that he's doing it on. Any chance that Instagram would care at all if you reported it??

Nothing to do with the actors.

The clip was uploaded to the account of the woman in the video, Farha Khalidi. It's not on his account.

I very much doubt Instagram would care.

Bumping and also ladies - please show this clip to the men in your life and tell them to stand up for women and girls.

The government want to include men with dangerous views like this as extremists and treat them like terrorists.

There are some very dangerous men spouting misogyny on the internet with a captive audience. It doesn't take long to indoctrinate people.

Incels have murdered people and it's not to be taken lightly. The police need to keep tabs on people like this and prosecute for incitement.

harmfulsweeties · 20/09/2024 09:32

Oh, how I loathe Andrew Wilson and his ilk.

There are definitely a lot of men out there that think like this-and a lot of them are given microphones and go on podcasts to expose their abhorrent views of women.

I find it very telling that the answer to men like this to the alleged birth rate crisis the world is allegedly going through is to rape women and force them to carry children they do not want-(is this a motivating factor behind ending abortion rights?) rather than to examine the reasons people aren't having kids or are sticking to having one or two children as opposed to the four or five they used to have?

It indicates how they think women are just pawns in continuing their bloodlines and the human species. Women are their property to do with as they choose. Women are, tellingly, the only ones being denied autonomy in this set-up. Men, yet again, in his hypothetical scenario, will be able to rape with abandon provided it is done with the alleged intent of furthering the human species.

To be honest, if this is the standard of human that we'd be creating, I'd prefer the human species to go extinct.

I think over in America particularly, white men are still convinced that "the great replacement" is a thing, and want to force white women to have as many babies as possible, hence the overturning of Roe Vs Wade. They seem to think white people are on our way to being extinct, and they're having a meltdown over it. We know that men are terrible regardless of the colour of their skin, but skin colour aside, the establishment wants more children irrespective of this to feed to the capitalist machine as they grow up to be part of the workforce.

It's even darker when you realise that if men want to rape women to further the species, they won't stop there; they will target girls as soon as they are capable of reproducing, and even then it won't just be about creating life, it will be about their sick sense of entitlement to pleasure. This is why we have child sexual abuse happening, all they want is to be able to use who they want to please themselves.

Incels are a problem, but men as a whole are deeply problematic even the ones that are nice to look at. I don't think Prevent is worth a damned thing, they aren't a big enough presence and they don't do enough to stop anything.

Fucking hell

the fact that he feels so comfortable and relaxed and FUCKING ENTITLED to share his despicable view says so much about the male problem we have.

I’ve got two teen boys. I’m talking to them about this. I’ve made it clear that if they don’t challenge this then they are part of the problem. The onus is on all reasonable men (and they absolutely do exist) to realise this is their problem too.

so angry reading this.

PortiasBiscuit · 20/09/2024 12:47

There are plenty of people in the world, we just need to move up and make room for them.

I'm actually so sick of these fuckwit men who believe that they have rights over women's bodies that I can't even find the energy to say much about it. As a young woman, this kind of thing used to fill me with rage. Now it just leaves me feeling weary and utterly despairing.

I think I used to believe that we could change our society to eradicate this kind of fucked up thinking. Now I'm not so sure...it seems that we are not really making that much progress, and in some ways, we seem to be going backwards.

Can someone give me some hope to cling on to, please? Will anything ever really change?

I'm not talking about Prevent. Yvette Cooper has ordered a review of the UKs counter extremist strategy in order to work out how best to tackle harmful ideologies including extreme misogyny.

These kinds of views fester within a society that views women as less worthy of respect. The police need to be better trained in spotting patterns of behaviour that could result in violence.

Saying 'this is men' doesn't solve anything. What are your solutions to this?

Naunet · 20/09/2024 13:02

@99RedBallonz Because men are entitled to decide it’s ethical to rape women? What the fuck is wrong with you? The population can’t survive with such a small group of people anyway, so it’s obviously not ethical, it’s just an excuse to say rape is ok if men say so.

It's a question that's been exaggerated to its most extreme example but the overall point is one that is relevant on a daily basis both at an individual:
"We have to have a child because otherwise my family name will die out."
"We have to have a child because I want someone to take care of me when I'm old"
"We have to have a child to carry on the family business"
Or on a wider societal level:
"We have to reproduce so our clan/tribe/customs don't die out."
"Use of contraception goes against my belief"
And as the OP pointed out, the whole "great replacement theory" "we have a duty to reproduce to preserve our race."

Essentially "if men want a child is it a woman's responsibility to give him one, regardless of her wishes."

EilonwyWithRedGoldHair · 20/09/2024 13:23

@99RedBallonz contribution was removed before I could answer. But the guy in the video would support Gilead in the Handmaids Tale and would believe they were justified in their treatment of women.

Obviously five people would not be able to save the human race, lack of genetic diversity would kill us off, but assuming it was possible they would be creating a culture based on rape and women having no say about their lives - the men in control aren't going to give that power up when the population reaches an arbitrary number. So that is his idea of an acceptable future.

99RedBallonz · 20/09/2024 13:35

I've really no idea why my commented was deleted. I guess it was reported as I disagreed with the OPs judgement of the fella based on a snippet of a conversation.

Like I say I don't know who this guy is but based on the information presented I don't think you can extrapolate that much about his views from it. I can imagine many people might think one rape would be a necessary price to pay for saving the human race.

The argument about not being able to continue with limited people is debatable because we are told we are all derived from one mitochondrial Eve.

Anyway this will probably get deleted again so carry on as you were, but I still think it's more extreme to want a guy taken "out of circulation" for engaging in the small part of this debate that we have been shown.

Of course you do, because you clearly see men as human and entitled to try and justify the rape of women whereas women are lesser, and there for should never make throw away comments about silencing a man, even a man who is advocating rape. 🙄

"This is men" doesn't solve anything you're right, but my personal opinions on how to handle them, usually don't go down very well. I have lost allllll my patience with their bullshit.

If Yvette Cooper can come up with something that works, then sure. Let's try that. I hope it goes far enough to tackle things, but I very much doubt it.

yes we are told that by idiots and if someone chooses to believe that then they are a bigger idiot with low intelligence

GoadyMcBigot · 20/09/2024 13:53

Sorry ignore last commment I missed the mitochondrial bit - I thought you were being biblical.

but also it was not quite as straightforward as all one woman and several men impregnating her to start all of humanity. If there are only 5 humans left the species is absolutely extinct.

but seriously cannot believe you are defending the idiots views.

99RedBallonz · 20/09/2024 15:36

No not the biblical Eve 😄 and no worries.

As for defending his views, I've no idea what his views are! I did say in my now deleted comment I have no idea who he is or what he believes. For all I know he is a totally repugnant human being and does indeed deserve all the scorn the OP is throwing at him.

I'm simply replying to an AIBU which gives a tiny bit of a conversation on a hypothetical situation. So based on what has been shown I do think OP is being unreasonable for getting so worked up and wishing death on this person for engaging in this ethical dilemma type of debate.

I don't think you can extrapolate that because he thinks A he must think B. Again, I have no idea who he is. Maybe he does hate women, but then perhaps a better example of his views could have been given, or at least the full conversation.

I am now wondering the minimum number of people required to save the human race however.

Ponoka7 · 20/09/2024 16:00

It's difficult to say because it was her that brought SA into it. His argument was that the women should feel a moral obligation to keep the human race going. It's an interesting debate. It's all connected, the moral obligation of being willing to fight/conscription etc.

Tittat50 · 20/09/2024 16:07

Andrew Wilson is a regular speaker on an incel podcast and debates regularly on topics like this on another platform he runs. His wife advocates all these views also.

The comments section on his YouTube videos explains why he's so comfortable. He has a huge following.

It's really not. Does it not occur to you that she raised it because she's extremely aware of what these men are like, and she wanted to catch him in 4k? I think she did a good job.

OP posts:
Tittat50 · 20/09/2024 16:27

@offyoujollywelltrot this is the first woman I've seen debate with him and come out well. He's an expert debater so knows how to get the upper hand with almost everyone he engages with. He also debates often with young Only Fans girls who trip themselves up obviously as they come on naive, unprepared and often say stupid things. Seeing this clip was a refreshing change.

She did great. She took it to a dead end whilst being really calm and clearly highlighting her view and highlighting his. Sadly, a great deal of men agree with his thinking...

Edited to add - does anyone really care about the future of the human race? I really don't think anyone cares about this beyond our own and next 2 generations maximum. It's the biggest load of bollocks. Like I don't believe the pro life men care about 2 week old zygotes either.
