Looking for area with good primary and secondary school (state & grammar school) (for boy) with easy access to Euston/Blackfriars

Hi everyone,

We have a sale agreed on our current house so we are looking for another area to buy our forever home.

Our main criteria are

• Good primary and secondary (state/grammar) school
• I work at Blackfriars and my husband works at Euston. so somewhere to commute max 1 hour to both would be a must
• Acceptable 3 bedroom price (around 650k)

We are currently looking around Surrey but there isn't grammar school at that area. So I'm still looking around if anyone has any idea.

Berkhamsted - train straight to Euston, very good state schools primary and secondary and most of the town in catchment for two Bucks grammar schools (it also has a widely acclaimed private school if that is your thing).

Barnet fits your criteria, but only if you have DS, (QE Boys school) although there are other mixed schools that take a percentage of pupils on their entrance examination results.
