To ask if your pregnancy symptoms got better at 9/10 weeks or could this mean miscarriage?

I have been starting to feel better for a few days, still have very slightly sore booms and metallic taste in mouth. Also still tired but nothing like I was before hitting week 10 yesterday. I'm also not feeling as nauseous as I did.

I have had quite a few miscarriages and never gone to term so naturally worried and just want to hear if this has happened to many others?

I have been having weekly scans but doe to holiday haven't been scanned now for two weeks and have the next one tomorrow but I'm expecting the worst.

Please help ease my worries!

I'm so worried in front I actually posted about this only a few days ago! Anyway, any new perspectives are welcomed

As the symptoms haven't come back yet. Only slightly since my last post

My pregnancy symptoms always got better at this point and with my third they only lasted until six weeks. All three of them were healthy babies.
So from what you have said it doesn’t sound like a miscarriage.

notaurewhatusername · 16/09/2024 19:47

@MiriamMay thank you so much, this helps. Fingers crossed

Every pregnancy is different and everyone experiences different symptons, often at different times. Really hope this is a good outcome for you 💕 sending good luck!

notaurewhatusername · 16/09/2024 19:47

I'm just extra paranoid given this would be the longest pregnancy I've ever had so adding an extra layer of worry.

OP hugs.
Try to have a relaxed calm evening knowing you will have answers tomorrow.
Every pregnancy is different and can present different levels of sickness and tiredness.
Please let me know how you get on tomorrow 🙏

Buggeredpelvicfloor2013 · 16/09/2024 19:51

Praying this is a positive sign that they've snuggled down in there 🙏 sending love. For what it's worth, I was crap 6-9 weeks, felt better 9-11, then oh my gosh, felt like I was dying. Please update us tomorrow. We are all here for you x

Gracelet · 16/09/2024 19:54

It's about this time that the placenta takes over so you will find your symptoms lessening. If it helps, when I was pg with my first I suffered with sickness and tiredness really badly and then one day it just stopped. Completely and immediately. She was born very healthy at full term.

notaurewhatusername · 16/09/2024 19:56

Thank you all so much for your kindness. I'm also late thirties so feel like I'm running out of time given my history.

I am hoping too and will update tomorrow, I would love to get to 12 weeks as I never got there before.

Even after that I'll be worried but it would mean a lot.

Also to add, the six week scan they suspected it was unviable/molar pregnancy so again, this has just really made things worse!

I've heard a heartbeat three times now though so fingers crossed, and have been takings steroids and intrilipids to boost chances

Crossing everything for you 💓

Buggeredpelvicfloor2013 · 16/09/2024 20:00

Bless you. When you see the heartbeat you of course believe all is good. And I'm sure it is! I got told at 6 weeks there was no heartbeat and I'd miscarried as I was spotting. However, my 'miscarriage is 11 in 2 months 😂

Maray1967 · 16/09/2024 20:02

I’ve had two successful pregnancies and three mcs. None of my mcs went to 9 weeks though - 8 weeks, 7 weeks and the third was dealt with by the mc clinic so I had an ERPC between 8 and 9 weeks.

My successful pregnancy symptoms had gone by 10 weeks. I was never actually sick, just felt queasy in the evenings from before 6 weeks to about 9 weeks. With my mcs that feeling had gone before 8 weeks. The sore boobs feeling had stopped even earlier.

I hope very much it goes well for you tomorrow.

GabriellaMontez · 16/09/2024 20:04

Yes that happened to me. Everything was fine. But I remember being very worried about it at the time.

Mahon3 · 16/09/2024 20:11

This happened to me at this stage. I panicked, just like you are. Had no symptoms at all week 9-10.5. Everything was fine. In fact, my symptoms came back at 11 weeks for another 1.5 weeks before sickness eased entirely. X

TangerinePlate · 16/09/2024 20:18

By 12 weeks placenta starts producing hormones so the symptoms might ease off.

notaurewhatusername · 16/09/2024 20:21

These positive stories are so helpful. Keep them coming!

My first pregnancy was very similar to this. After I hit around 9-10 weeks, I wouldn't have known I was pregnant until a little bump started to protrude at around 20 weeks. I had no symptoms whatsoever.

itsmeits · 17/09/2024 08:23

thinking of you today @notaurewhatusername Hope all goes well 💐

MarigoldExpress · 17/09/2024 08:30

Mine disappeared around 10 weeks, I'm currently 35 weeks xx

Sunshineandpool · 17/09/2024 08:34

I had morning sickness for 6-9 months with my pregnancies. But I had times when I felt much better and then it would get worse again. So feeling better for a few days does not mean miscarriage.

Good luck, OP! Let us know how you get on at your scan.

Round3HereWeGo · 17/09/2024 08:40

Yes, somewhere between 9 and 10 weeks all my symptoms very suddenly stopped m, like overnight. I panicked. All was fine!

PeopleAreToads · 17/09/2024 08:44

I distinctly remember weeks 7-9 being awful but feeling so much better by week 11 so I don’t think symptoms reducing necessarily means anything to worry about.

Good luck with your scan 🥰

notaurewhatusername · 17/09/2024 16:09

Thank you all so much for your help, an update is that the scan went fine!

They told me my chance of miscarriage is now same as anyone's and less than 2%. I'm 10 weeks 2 days can't quite believe it 😳

It's a very weird feeling

I clearly remember posting this similar worry too op. Bless you, it's completely normal to feel so worried when you start feeling a bit better.
