Amazon delays

The last 5 orders I've had from amazon (next day delivery) have been delayed by between 1 day and 1 week. I've cancelled my subscription which renews in December. Has anyone else noticed lots of delays recently or is it just me being unlucky?

I haven't noticed any yet, but I have noticed a huge influx of logistics companies advertising for drivers in my area so maybe they're struggling to fulfil orders on time due to lack of people willing to drive for them? Apparently it's very hard slog.

Our local driver told us last week that both him and all the posties have noticed an increase in aggressive dogs this year, and an Amazon driver got murdered :(

Oh yes! Drives me nuts. I live less than 6 miles from a major Amazon warehouse...but because it's "semi rural" they seem to think that the next day/same day rules don't apply...next time it's something important I've got a mind to turn up at the warehouse and have a pop..I can cycle there in 40minutes

Got murdered doing a delivery? Jesus.

No, but my favourite driver told me they keep sending him to a location half an hour away which is silly, cos he’s spent six months getting to know (all the stupidly hidden houses) in my area and everyone else gets lost and can’t find them.

Staff retention problems, probably.

Redglitter · 15/09/2024 22:28

Thankfully i haven't noticed any changes
My orders are all coming next day as expected

Sounds like you've been unlucky

Run over by his own van whilst they were trying to steal it.

Yes me... orders are Prime next day until you've checked out and then they're due for delivery several days later.

I complained this morning and just got a load of flannel.. 'unexpected external factors'. Wtf

HighHeelsOnCobblestones · 15/09/2024 22:41

I had one last week. When I ordered it said it'd be next day. Then the next day came and it said it wasn't coming that day but should arrive at some point in the next few days. It turned up the day after.

If you complain for long enough to Chat person they sometimes give you a £5 voucher.

Houseplanter · 15/09/2024 22:48

I did get the £5 voucher, but I didn't get an answer as to why something is listed as arriving next day is sent via the Royal Mail on a Saturday night!

TDTMD · 15/09/2024 22:52

I miss the days when you used to be able to get an extra month of prime for complaining. It’s never next day because of where I live, but I’ve noticed it’s started taking longer than usual, I think locally evri have lost a lot of their local drivers, can’t say I blame them for leaving.
