Anyone else in bits

19 YO ds has just gone back for his 2nd year, took him there this weekend.
I was in bits last year but thought 2nd year would be easier but after him being home for nearly 4 months in the summer, that last tight hug from him last night almost set me off again.
The fact he has 5 nights in a house on his own before his house mates turn up (and no WiFi yet) probably tugs at my mum heart strings!

Gosh, I wish I hadn’t read this thread because I thought I was fine. Just dropped my youngest back for his second year and I’m now sat at the kitchen table and the house is totally silent.
Reading about how sad yet proud most mums seem to be has brought all of my emotions to the surface and I’m crying into my red wine.
I know from past experience that it gets better and is a new exciting chapter but for now, I’m wallowing.
