I am searching for a deep carpet & upholstery cleaner that also cleans hard floors, and can be used as a vacuum on it's own too.

I currently have a wet & dry hard floor vacuum which 'refreshes' area rugs, thin pile carpet, and it annoyingly has no attachments. I am looking for a similar thing, but for it to have an upholstery attachment also, and for it to deep clean carpets.

Does such a thing exist? I don't want multiple appliances.

Thank you I have a similar one, and it is a ton weight, and in the garage. It take a mass of space up due to the huge hose, and design.

I should have mentioned I was looking for an upright that can be neatly stored away in the cupboard.

Thank you @handslikecowstits I think that is designed for refreshing rugs, short pile. I'm not sure it deep cleans carpets. It also looks like it has no upholstery attachment. This is the same issue I have with my current appliance.

Just hire one for the odd deep clean? I doubt you'll get one that does everything

I don't want to hire, it is a waste of money imo, and i have a huge heavy one already in my garage. Yes that is what I thought. It looks like I will have to get a separate unit for carpets, and upholstery.

How often do you need to deep clean your carpets get a company in to do it seems the best option rather than the faff of doing it yourself. I have found anything that tries to do to many functions does none of them particularly well.

Deep cleaning carpets and vacuuming are 2 very functions. No machine will be brilliant at both.

Thanks, I do a lot of cleaning, because I have young children. I also clean upholstery regularly eg. Kitchen chairs, and sofas etc.
I have a great wet & dry hard floor cleaner that does both, refreshes rugs, so this is perfect for downstairs. I have gone with a vax upright carpet vacuum cleaner that has an upholstery tool as well. I prefer them when they aren't too heavy and cumbersome, as otherwise I would just never do it!
