AIBU to think the outside of Addidas football boots should not stink?
We have odour eaters and they work on the inside but the outside of our teenage kids’ boots reek of a stale cat wee type stench.

Your children need to see a doctor.

My son’s football boots absolutely stink too. They need to go in a zipped up bag so they don’t stink out the house

our dc ones live outside by the back door in an old (thrift store) shoe cupboard.

you can also get boot dryer machines that might help dry them quicker and thus reduce smell.

Ours live in the garage!

Rugby and football boots go in the shed. Have tried everything to get rid off that smell or prevent it.

I am glad we are past this stage! They really do smell of cat pee and not sure why. I didn't like to put them in the garage in case spiders went in them 😆.

My DS's most recent pair of boots (Nike) have a terrible weird smell that is unrelated to sweat or similar. I washed them in the machine and they came out smelling that way. I think it's something in the plastic.
