AIBU “CF”?

When new to MN, I read a thread “Am I the CF?” And I did not know what “CF” meant … my mind went straight to “C*ntFace”
Was my mind unreasonable to think that?
or
Was my mind NOT unreasonable?

I still cannot UN-think it every time I see CF. I am not a vulgar person in everyday life.

You're not far off.

It's cheeky fucker.

Username checks out @gutterbrain

I am torn here. Whilst I must confess I do prefer the poetry of "cunt face", it does lack the specificity of "cheeky fucker".

BarbaraHoward · 11/09/2024 12:12

I think the fact that you thought it means you'll fit in perfectly around here.

Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing...

Lammveg · 11/09/2024 12:14

Here's to me just finding out it means cheeky fucker! I thought the same as you.

IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday · 11/09/2024 12:56

I also the thought the same, no idea why as it's not an insult I've ever heard before!

MonsteraMama · 11/09/2024 12:57

I thought it was cunty fucker 🤷‍♀️

Blarn · 11/09/2024 12:59

I see CF a lot at work. It means Counter Fraud. I always, always read it as Cheeky Fucker in my mind.

longdistanceclaraclara · 11/09/2024 13:10

My professional qualification is CF xxx I see cheeky fucker every time.

JackGrealishsAliceBand · 11/09/2024 14:33

I much prefer Cunty Fucker but Cheeky works too.

At my work it means Conditional Firm but I understand it means cheeky fucker on Mumsnet. (In news nobody asked for, it took me a loooooong time to stop reading the Taylor Swift ERAS tour as shorthand for Erasmus. Ten points, but sadly no prizes, for the first person to guess my line of work.)

On here

CF = cheeky fucker

CurlewKate · 11/09/2024 15:38

In my experience, the people who use the expression CF are mean spirited sorts who wouldn't lift a finger to help another person....

pinkyredrose · 11/09/2024 15:39

Cunt face! 😂 brilliant!

eggandchip · 11/09/2024 15:57

I am so glad misreading the Eras tour is more common than just me! I was reading it with a short E as in egg and thought it was perhaps something Greek which was mentioned in a song. A couple of weeks ago I saw something about people going dressed up from the different album eras and thought, "ooooooh!"
