I think most people are average if going purely by societal beauty standards... but if you spend some time, most people also have a little spark about them that will appeal and make them more attractive.
Could be passion about a hobby, a wicked sense of humour etc.
On paper I think over 6ft, dark hair and slim men are attractive.
My husband is the complete opposite and I adore him.
I have met several men who are my "type", but their spark didn't appeal to my spark (okay, I'm sounding weird now) haha
I think that attraction is extremely complicated and individual and based on everything from our past traumas, our upbringing, our cultures and many more things.
I will add that I've never met anyone that I thought was ugly on the outside until their insides influenced my opinion.
