not to make ds have his hair cut?

my mum thinks I am.

ds, nearly 4, hasn't had his hair cut for ages, it is now almost shoulder length, really messy and getting in his face. But he says he wants it long and HATES having it cut, screams and cries and gets upset. My mum thinks I should just cut it anyway and that I'm letting him tell me what to do but I don't think it matters that much and there are plenty of other things to fight with him over. eg tv, food, brushing his teeth...

Does it actually matter?

no it doesn't really matter but does he mind having it brushed? My dd1 wanted her hair cut because she doesn't like having it washed or brushed.

I'd get his fringe cut, but let him keep the rest long, if he agreed to brush it properly.

DS1 (12) is a hairy yeti, and this is the deal I have with him.

I don't think I have EVER brushed his hair, it's quite fine and doesn't get knotty, just messy and sticky outy.

I love messy boys hair!!! Cut the fringe so he can see

I'll leave it then, and tell my mum to find something else to nag me about. I wonder how long it will get before ds wants it cut?!
