To have reached the age of 40 without knowing what a Queef is?

I have never heard of the word or knew what it was. Today I was told about it with great giggles from my 11 yo. DP knew the word. I didn’t even know it was a thing.

OP posts:
Thedogscollar · 07/09/2024 19:07

Well I'm 62 and I've no clue either.

Crispyturtle · 07/09/2024 19:08

Stealth boast 😆

Pippa246 · 07/09/2024 19:09

I’ve done it lol but didn’t know it had a word for it (just googled it). Every day is a school day.

Quacking4it · 07/09/2024 19:10

Off to Google...

BCBird · 07/09/2024 19:10

54 and no idea.

Thedogscollar · 07/09/2024 19:10

Just googled it. Bloody hell I've heard loads of queefing as I work as a midwife. Never knew it was called this😆

Quacking4it · 07/09/2024 19:10

😳😂

Pfpppl · 07/09/2024 19:13

We watched Dodgeball with DS (14) a few weeks ago and he asked what it was. I had to Google, although I've heard it before, just never knew what it was (46). DS found it hilarious and wanted to know how it was possible and whether I'd ever done it!

FuckThePoPo · 07/09/2024 19:14

It's a skill that's for sure

RaininSummer · 07/09/2024 19:16

Do I want to Google this as have no idea? Good Scrabble word though.

ILikeItWhatIsIt · 07/09/2024 19:47

You didn't know it was a thing, or that it was called a queef? Surely you've done one?!?

AnotherExpatKiwi · 07/09/2024 19:50

We called them fanny farts in my day.

Doggymummar · 07/09/2024 19:51

55 and no clue. Not googling it

MereDintofPandiculation · 07/09/2024 20:03

@Doggymummar , as @AnotherExpatKiwi says, vaginal flatulence. (To save everyone else having to google)

Ginkypig · 07/09/2024 20:06

Well it’s an American term as far as I know (although I may be mistaken) so not something I’d expect to be so common knowledge that people should be surprised if they haven’t already heard it.

Ginkypig · 07/09/2024 20:07

To be crude for a second when I was growing up it was simply called a fanny fart.

sorry!

pizzaHeart · 07/09/2024 20:08

Just googled it.
Im very curious how other members of your family came across this? And please don’t tell me that it was a word search at school.

Worthalltheyears · 07/09/2024 20:10

I know what a fanny fart is (no stranger to this along with most women ime ) but never heard of that expression.

BMW6 · 07/09/2024 20:13

I knew Fanny Farts are called Queefs in USA from South Park several years ago.

I must say I prefer the term Queef.

KimberleyClark · 07/09/2024 20:13

63 and never heard it.

Iamacatslave · 07/09/2024 20:16

It’s a good old fashioned fanny fart!

Anonym00se · 07/09/2024 20:21

I gleeked recently and said to my kids “Ooh, I just queefed!” They were horrified but thought it was hysterical. I realised I’d confused the two words and I was mortified to learn the real meaning!

AlexanderSkarsgårdsfwb · 07/09/2024 20:22

Its a great scrabble word!
