TRIGGER WARNING

i'm in shock. my old GP who I saw a lot during health problems I had has been found guilty of joining a paedophile group chat online. He was caught because he was talking to undercover police in the group. He pretended to be a woman and talked about allowing people to abuse his fictional children as young as 8.
i just can't believe this, I trusted him, he has seen intimate parts of my body and my daughters body when she was little.
I feel sick.female only gp's for this family from now on.
It has been reported in the local newspaper so definitely true.
posted on AIBU because i have no idea where to put this!

People like that come from all walks of life.

I recall going to the doc once in early 20s. I couldn't get a slot with my normal lady doc so ended up seeing a male doctor. It was just for more pills so straight forward and I wasn't concerned about seeing someone different.

At the end of the appt he asked me something that I knew he shouldn't be asking me. Had I been older and more self assured I probably would have taken it further. I made sure I never got booked in with him again.

Have you been offered any counseling?

That’s awful, I’m so sorry :( I have nothing helpful to suggest but I really feel for you!
