Holiday 25?

I Save up every year so I can afford an abroad holiday with my two children… the past 2 years as a single parent I have been with my bestie and her daughter. Her daughter is the same age as my youngest and they have a blast… meanwhile my eldest daughter although makes friends feels a bit left out as obviously I have my friend there too. So AIBU to invite the friend again next year or shall I go alone with the two kids? My eldest said she would like just the three of us to go but I will be without my friend and youngest without hers. I have enquired about adding an extra child on to my booking so eldest may invite a friend but the option isn’t available at the hotel we have chosen.

You've already booked it? I'd say it would be nice for your DD to either have a a holiday as a 3, or with a friend yes. If every holiday has been like I can see why she would feel left out.

I think, if your child is asking for it just to be you three, it should.
Read this bit of your post back My eldest said she would like just the three of us to go but I will be without my friend and youngest without hers.
I would imagine that's how your eldest feels every year? It must be hard for her to feel like that on holiday.

Thanks for your replies, yes, thanks I agree. It’s been good going away with a friend for a few years as it’s been hard after a relationship breakdown but will just go on our own xx

Surely you don't need your "bestie" if you have your dd's with you? Your eldest obviously wants time away as a family and more attention from you which is understandable.
