To think this level of pettiness is embarrassing?

My next door neighbours are just very inconsiderate people. They need their own thread.

Our houses are attached but we have separated driveways with a clear line of gravel between them and a partial hedge.

We both keep our bins on the driveway and today I’ve gone out to put my bin back and they’ve shoved my (different) bin and placed their bin on my driveway. I moved it back and it’s heavy so it didn’t blow across.

I know this is a none thread, but it does annoy me how petty some people are. Like just why do it? 🙄 anyone have other petty neighbour stories?

(yes I’ve been sad enough to go a diagram)

Mumsnet is such a weird place, the OP asked a question, and from very early on in the thread this casual bitchiness took over. The way you are all behaving is quite topical, your all doing that thing we have recently seen in that Blake Lively and Parker Posey interview, where they ignore the interviewer and start their own passive aggressive conversation, sorry your thread got highjacked by bellends @alwwyd

Thank you, I haven’t logged on for a couple of days and to just see what the thread has become is even more petty than my neighbours behaviour (who have for some reason now thrown a potato into my garden?)

Anyway, seeing your comment has made me feel better about selfish people hijacking my thread, so thank you again.

Thanks for your comment too @cookiebee appreciate it.

@aalwwyd i love your diagrams, you need to add the potato position. Was it raw or baked?

cookiebee · 06/09/2024 14:15

@alwwyd no worries at all, I’ve had a thread of my own taken over by nonsensical arseholes before completely ignoring what the threads about. I’ve had neighbour issues, if you want to debate around these twats on here with anyone who wants to help you then will give all the help we can, if you prefer to be done then no worries there.

Did they definitely put it there? It wasn’t the bin men after emptying? Ours just dump them any old where- different house, bottom of the road, and we sometimes have to go searching and posting on the community Facebook page ‘who has the bin for number 8’

Pathetic behaviour, they’re obviously trying to get a rise out of you for some reason, I’d move it back. If the behaviour continues ask them why 🙂

Yes they definitely put it there. It was their garden waste bin which wasn’t being emptied that week and no bin man is going to walk to the top of someone’s drive to push a bin they aren’t collecting over to their neighbours side.
