To find colleague cleaning his teeth in the street grotesque?

I walk home from work occasionally with a colleague. He has a joint on the way but then gets out a toothbrush and paste, cleans his teeth, rinses with water and spits it out. He's doing it to disguise the smell from his wife. I find it utterly repulsive (the smell and the spitting in public) and make excuses as much as possible to avoid walking back at the same time. Would you tell him why you don't want to walk with him?

That is absolutely disgusting and won't work he'll still stink

I think I would be more disgusted about him having a sneaky joint and trying to hide it from his wife.

Surely the smell on his clothes will give it away.

If he is spitting it at the side of the path rather than anywhere I wouldn't care. I very occasionally spit in drains or kerbs etc
