Belly button piercing...yes or know?

Sounds mad but I'm in my 50s and thinking about getting a belly button piercing....I think it looks pretty and feminine...feeling a bit down physically and trying to turn things round. Thought piercing might be a talking point BUT I am also a bit scared to have it done! Any advice? Would you have it done?

“A talking point” means a way to get attention? There are easier ways that won’t potentially get infected or keep catching on your jeans.

I got mine done at 14 and am 32 now. I've kept it as I'm so used to it, but I don't think I'd get it done at this age up otherwise. I would get maybe a helix or conch piercing instead (which I got a few years ago in one ear!). I don't think my belly button piercing will age well! I have one DC and am still slim. Not a flat belly but not a 'belly' either.

It was a bugger to heal I think, fear of seat belts anywhere near it for ages. My helix and conch also took forever which discourages me from wanting new piercings to be honest. I expect 99% of people in my life don't know my belly button is pierced so I don't think it'd be a talking point. I think it's a bit weird to have your belly put the older you get. I have some shortish tops and high waisted trousers but I feel a bit mutton dressed as lamb lately!

If you want to do it then do it! I got my nose done in early 40s. The only thing that stops me getting my belly button done is I’ve seen the size of the needle!

If you want down go for it! Can always take it out if you change your mind!

You're in your 50s and happy to walk around with your guts uncovered?
That's some self-confidence!

I'm 50 and wear crop tops. Not below the boobs ones but just above the waistline.
