Shaide is ok but 2 syllables sound better.

I have a friend she’s lovely but chooses the most extravagant unique names I’m not even sure I can post them as I doubt anyone else has the same !

As in “hi, my name is…Slim Shady” ?

When I was a kid a woman in the village I lived in named her daughter Dreene. All through her pregnancy the mum was obsessed with the smell of a shampoo of that name so that's what they called her.

I'd have been annoyed at my parents' illiteracy, in their misspelling of "Shade."

I would imagine all the people called Billy must be a bit pissed knowing they're named after a bookcase.

As for names (for twins) I know of a Rogan and Josh as well as an Aston and Martin.

But I think the award for the worst name must go to the parents that called their daughter Female, pronounced Fee-mar-lay.

I know of a girl from a different culture called Peculiar. I think maybe the parents were looking for a name meaning ‘unique’ or something and landed on that one. Although it has grown on me.

When I rule the world, Registrars will be fully-armed with permission to shoot any parent who tries to register such ridiculous names.
The French used to have a set list of names for kids. Sadly, they no longer enforce this, although I have yet to meet a French Chardonnay!

I think it was on here - a thread about inappropriate names where a teacher said she had a boy in her class called Blessing..... and he wasn't.

But Blessing is a girls name.
