Sainsburys Toilets

I have no words to describe the toilets in Sainsbury's.
I walked in and the smell was disgusting, I try to avoid but in general I think why shouldn't a big Supermarket have clean toilets! So maybe every other month or at stations I use public toilets.
Anyway I walk into the 2nd cubicle surprised there is only two for a large store in a small popular city..
The toilet was clean I suppose but to the corner of my eye I couldn't help but see the open toilet brush and it was stuff out of nightmares. 😫
I was almost in shock and after 10 seconds thought no I can't use the toilet.
I wasn't quite at the absolutely desperate stage. But even so the fucking smell!!!
Afterwards I could barely walk round the store to get the minimum I needed.
Yuk yuk 😷 🤢 🤮
SAINSBURY'S toilets need burning down. The taps to the toilets to the doors going into. Gross.

Our Asdas is terrible for this. Filthy, stinking and no loo roll.
I just hold my nose and hover. But yeah it's gross.

Agreed- it's revolting the amount of women who don't wash their hands after using the loo- they then put their turdy/pissy germy hands on the door handle to get out.
I use a tissue to touch the door handle after washing hands as the thought is just so gross.

I think there is also a lack of joined up thinking..

eg 'I've just had a wee, so no need to wash my hands'.

Ah- but what about the person before you, who had a poo, got some on their hands, flushed the loo, opened the loo door.
Or they touched the loo handle, door etc which some other person had contaminated 3 hours ago.

And now you've touched it as well.

WASH YOUR BLINKIN' HANDS.
ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO TOUCH FOOD OR USE THE CAFE.

I've got three large Sainsburys near me...all of the toilets are always spotless.

Morrisons...different story!

The worst public toilet I've been in recently was Wagamama's in Camden. Absolutely revolting.

There are plenty of public toilets in our town centre that are lovely but the ones inside the Morrisons (a few minutes walk from the town centre toilets) are absolutely disgusting. It doesn't help that the decor is vile, cracked, dirty mirrors, door handles broken, snapped hooks so nowhere to put your bag, no toilet lid. Because Morrisons seem to care so little about the toilets, it seems the customers treat them the same way and will leave piss on the seats or snot on the walls. Gross.

I agree about the stupid washing facility in Tesco's, useless. I now go into the baby changing room to wash my hands, proper washbasin and paper towels. My local John Lewis has clean loos, but they were run down before covid, I vainly hoped that they would upgrade them during lockdown, no such luck.

@Aquarius1234

So did you write a letter to the store manager with copies to Head Office, staff health and safety rep, local paper and local council.

There are two Sainsburys near us. The big one and the little one.

The little one's toilets have been out of order with yellow tape stuck across the the door for ages. Must be coming up to a year now. The ancient car park toilets next door were always cleaner than the ones in Sainsburys though. I once had to go to customer services and report a massive amount of vomit all down the back of the ladies' toilet and dripping onto the floor.

The big one's toilets are always clean and nice to use.

It's a big thing I miss about Denmark- never once did I encounter grim toilets - and the public ones in the centre had marble walls , walnut doors , heating and a permanent attendant and were absolutely immaculate

I can remember public loos like this here in the UK but back in the 1960’s and 70’s.
it is now pretty impossible to find any decent clean public provision and lots of older people like me now have to ration going out .Many Councils have closed theirs to save money. Salisbury City Council have voted to do the same suggesting tourists can use shop and pub toilets ….yeah that’s going to be popular!
Another death blow to the high street .
