To bring a gift anyway

My DS has been invited for a beach house stay with his friend and friend's mum. When I asked whay to bring she said to just bring clothing, sun screen etc. But I want to bring a little gift but I have no idea what. Friend has Arfid eating disorder and mum is orthorexic so food stuff is difficult. Normally I would give a basket of biscuits, aperitifs, fruit, soft drinks, wine for the mum that they could enjoy but since the boy only eats pasta and the mum I have no idea (almonds ?) I am lost. I can't let my DS go emptyhanded, I would feel awful but what would be an appropriate "gift" in these circumstancces ?

The flower/plant is fine on its own, don't gift her a bag of nuts!

Haha, no not like a "this is a gift for you, some nuts". More like I will send some food stuffs along with DS that aren't perishible in case he's hungry and since he's wellbehaved he will obviously ask if anyone wants some and I thought of 1 thing that she would like. Her son eats one type of specific sweets and one type of chocolate so will bring that as well. Thanks again for all suggestions. I now know never to gift a scented candle which I have been guilty of in the past.😳

I like being given scented candles as long as they aren't crazy pungent - and tbh if they are I give them to my friend who likes the really pungent ones. I'm too cheapskate to buy my own so it would go down well with me. So I just don't think you can know really. E.g. One person said they would bin even flowers I think but I don't think you can write off all flowers as a gift because of that.
