What tablet and why

Posting for traffic but also a disagreement with DH

What tablet I.e ipad do your kids have? Want to get one each for DD8 and DS3 (to be used occasionally- I'm not a screen fan mum but sometimes needs must like long car journeys)

My DH says get 2 amazon kids kindle tablet things but they don't seem to have YouTube Kids on them? Which seems pointless. I think go big and buy once and get 2 ipads. Grandparents think maybe a Samsung tablet.

The amazon tablets not having youtube Kids renders them pointless in my opinion but I'm prepared to be told otherwise.

Please hit me with your suggestions.

We got our kids iPads but that is because we have iPhones and the kids have iPhones. All the things are then connected and work well together. Do you have an iPhone and/or iPad already yourself?

Husband has iPhone and I have Samsung. I'm due a new phone and could switch to an iPhone.

The bonus of you all having the same is that when one of the adults upgrades their phone, you can then pass down your old one to the kids. Ours have our second hand ones. Just as their phone is dying and can’t accept new apps, it’s usually time for one of us to get a new one ourselves.
