I am a prolific and unrepentant snacker. I just chopped up some peanut butter and prunes, and am eating them with thick greek yoghurt with syrup on top.

I had some cashews earlier, and sometimes if I fancy something savoury but don't have bread in I will get a paratha out the freezer, fry it, slather it in butter, cheese, and marmite, and then roll it up and eat it. I will definitely have another snack later, even though I am going out for dinner at a friend's...

So AIBU to ask what snacks you like eating ?

An apple chopped up with strong cheddar cheese
picked onions
whipped feta dip and carrot sticks
Pretzels and chocolate buttons together in a little bowl

BrendaSmall · 23/08/2024 18:49

🤣🤣
We class snacks as chocolate, crisps, sweets or biscuits!
Crackers, Ryvitas, anything bread related, dips, fruit or salad/ veg we have for a meal!

WakingUpInBlood · 23/08/2024 18:49

Babybels, chocolate covered peanuts, frozen grapes, oatcakes with butter and cheese, apples, crisps and dip, peanut butter toast… snacks are better than meals any day imo!

Derrymum123 · 23/08/2024 18:50

Pom bears, especially cheese and onion green packs.

NothingAGoodCuppaDoesntFix · 23/08/2024 18:51

Chocolate
Slice of cake
Bag of crisps

Definitely nothing healthy:(

Cherrysoup · 23/08/2024 18:53

Olives, nuts, berries, grapes. Natural yogurt and fruit is good with a drizzle of honey, just brought some unprocessed honey back from holiday.

notprincehamlet · 23/08/2024 18:53

Apples - they're my thinking big thoughts food
Oatcakes with peanut butter and marmite
Kallo beetroot veggie cake things - like virtuous monster munch

SaintHonoria · 23/08/2024 18:57

A slice of cold marmite on toast that I take out with me when I'm out hiking.

Thursa · 23/08/2024 19:05

Apple slices and cheddar slices
Ritz crackers with cream cheese and a slice of cherry tomato
Hummus and pita with a sprinkle of feta and chopped cucumber
Quesadilla with salsa and sour cream

AlmostCutMyHairToday · 23/08/2024 19:09

Good bread, toasted, slathered in salted butter, and squished jammy dates. With or without cinnamon.

TranquilWater · 23/08/2024 19:14

Crab sticks with M&S Perinaise piped along the top - canapés eaten in the glow of an open fridge door. Labneh scooped up with Ryvita rosemary thins.

eggandchip · 23/08/2024 19:21

Apples and bananas.

My eyesight is definitely going, I read that as "piranha"!

I love a bowl of olives and feta cheese with a generous glug of olive oil for dipping. When I waitressed I had a terrible habit of helping myself to the Greek salad (fished out the tomatoes bc I hate them), which is where it started.

louderthan · 23/08/2024 20:16

Basically crisps
Parma ham wrapped around mozzarella
Essentially any cheese/ham combo
Olives
Breadsticks or tortilla chips with guacamole or houmous

Melodysmum12 · 23/08/2024 20:18

Wow these are all great ideas! Some I’ve never thought of!
I love crisps but know they’re so bad for me! Try to eat lentil ones but they give me stomach ache! So nuts usually are my go to snacks, those flavoured graze ones as I love savoury stuff!

louderthan · 23/08/2024 20:19

Obsessed with this houmous at the moment. Has to be the jalapeño one.

marmite cashew nuts are my tip tier snack.

howlsmovingbouncycastle · 23/08/2024 20:20

Currently Proper Chips with this sprinkled over them.

Preferably with a cold beer.

Me too!!

This thread inspired me to make my favourite snack...
Ritz crackers with pieces of chopped up smoked streaky bacon on the top (raw). Drizzle maple syrup on the top of them, couple of chilli flakes and bung them in the air fryer for about 8 mins.
You're welcome 😁

Fontainebleau007 · 23/08/2024 20:48

Ryvita sesame crackers with seriously strong cheese spread 😋

Notmollybutdolly · 23/08/2024 20:49

So much inspo but like PP I do enjoy a crab stick piped with a mayonnaise too!!!!!!!
anything diy canapé style.
piece of nice ham, with slice of Gouda or Edam cheese on top with a bit of chilli oil, wrapped around a Babybel is my newest invention x

Agreed! It's the BEST! I get through tubs of the stuff with celery over a few days 😋😋😋

Notmollybutdolly · 23/08/2024 20:50

also any kind of toast with at least half an inch of lurpak. And I like to wait until the toast has cooled down so the butter doesn’t melt too much mmmmm

lightsandtunnels · 23/08/2024 20:54

I love to make my own dip with Greek yoghurt and a squirt of mayo then add curry powder and a drizzle of honey.
Then I dip in a range of crisps like Doritos, Walkers sweet chilli.
My mouth is watering ... 😋
